Kim Soohyun not affected by 'Korean Ban'; wins 2 new Chinese projects
On 8 Aug, Kim Soohyun's agency, Keyeast reveals that Soohyun is not affected by the rumoured 'Korean ban' in China and he has recently signed on to 2 new contracts for commercial endorsements.
Another Keyeast actor, Lee Hyunwoo has also successfully completed his Chinese drama 'The first meeting is the most beautiful'《最美不过初相见》.
Lee Joongi's visa has been rumoured to be rejected for his promotional activities in China for new film 'Never Said Goodbye'《谎言西西里》. But this turned out to be false as he showed up on schedule for his promotional rounds.
There is even a banned list of Chinese-Korean entertainment projects circulating online. But this has not been verified by the authorities to be true.
It seems like the rumoured 'Korean Ban' is not effective yet.
The 'Korean Ban' in China has been triggered by South Korea's decision to deploy the THAAD missile system and its powerful radar in the country. The radar can scan deeply into major Chinese cities like Shanghai.
