Stefanie Sun Yanzi begging fans not to unfollow her after bad singing at Golden Horse 2016
Home-grown songbird, Stefanie Sun Yanzi (38) was invited to perform at the 53rd Golden Horse Awards on 26 Nov night.
But as she was down with a flu - not Avian flu - her singing was somewhat off-key during parts of her song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow".
After her sub-optimal singing at the event, Stefanie was pleading with her fans not to drop their following online. Though there were many critics blasting her, supportive fans still outnumber the negative ones.
Fellow Singaporean singer Tanya Chua was quick to reassure that she has been through similar ordeals and ask her to continue with her passion.
Meantime, many fans and friends have messaged her to show her support and shower her with words of encouragement. They continue to love her music and will not be switching to Sun Ho or other Suns anytime soon.
In conclusion, Stefanie continues to enjoy a fanbase of 23 million followers across Asia even after the incident. Heng ah*.
