Andy Lau's painful Chinese New Year message to fans after breaking pelvic bones
Andy Lau fell off his horse on 17 Jan 2017 while filming a commercial in Thailand. After being stepped on by the angry animal, his pelvic bones cracked and he had to be transported back to Hong Kong for further treatment.
Following the advice of his doctors, Andy Lau had to spend Chinese New Year(CNY) at the hospital and will rest at the ward for 6 to 8 weeks.
Andy Lau usually celebrates CNY with fans on the 2nd day of the year but had to cancel the event this time round due to his pelvic injury.
Nonetheless, Andy Lau uploaded a video to wish his fans a happy Chinese New Year just like any Prime Minister would on 27 Jan. Andy tells his fans not to be worried and he will get well soon.
Rumours say that it is painful for Andy Lau to even smile at the moment. Broken and cracked bones typically take 6 months or longer to heal.
Sandra Ng and director husband Peter Chan (not officially married on paper) visited Andy recently and says that he still looks very handsome.
