Vicki Zhao Wei (42) and her businessman husband Huang Youlong (42) are rumoured to be worth S$1.16 bil with shareholdings across diverse industries and companies including Alibaba Pictures, Talent Television and Film Co. Ltd (Tangde) and wine production.
In Nov 2018, the chinese authorities imposed a ban on Zhao Wei from holding key positions in publicly-listed firms in China for 5 years.
It was alleged that financial statements filed to the authorities did not represent a true and fair view of their companies' operations. Husband and wife held directorship positions in these companies.
Both husband and wife are rumoured to be Singapore permanent residents as Zhao Wei gave birth to her first daughter in April 2010 in Singapore.
In response to allegations that she is escaping China for Singapore in 2018, Zhao Wei declares online recently, that she is holding a Chinese passport and she remains a Chinese citizen in China.
She has stated many times that her heart remains in Beijing..... we think.
The chinese wordings above and the english wordings "CHN" indicates that she is holding onto a Chinese passport issued by authorities in China.
