GEM Gloria Tang sued by Hummingbird for 100mil; not Mark Zuckerberg's girlfriend mistress?
29 March 2019 - GEM Gloria Tang's former music label Hummingbird Music is in a contract dispute with GEM and has initiated a lawsuit against her in Hong Kong.
On 7 March 2019, GEM announced that she would not be continuing her music career with Hummingbird, citing irreconcilable differences. Both sides alleged that they have given each other more than enough during their months of negotiations.
Hummingbird has registered "GEM" as a trademark, but it remains to be seen if this is really enforcement worldwide. It is not clear if Gloria Tang can continue to use "GEM" as her stage name or if she is planning to change her name.
GEM allegedly has signed a contract with her label until 2022 but wishes to leave the company now. She has offered to finish her last 8 "Queen of Hearts" concerts with the label so as not to disappoint her fans.
Hummingbird is claiming a sum of about 100 million hkd (SGD 17 million, USD 12 million) for losses in potential earnings and prepayments made for her future concerts. The music label declined further comments as the case is before the courts.
GEM did not elaborate on this lawsuit as well.
GEM Gloria Tang likes to visit cool places and take cool photos with cool people. She is not known to be a girlfriend or mistress to facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, who's very married.
